Multiple backup streams in SQL Server 2000

We have a 2TB Database on SQL Server 2000.
We make online backups every night of this database with the backup tool HP
Dataprotector 5.5
Does anyone know if it's possible to backup with more than one stream?
Backup windows are running out of time...
In dataprotector is an option "Concurrent streams" but this option is grade
out.

I'm not familiar with that tool. Did you run BACKUP DATABASE command ....?
Do you have filegroup for the database?
